Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy translucency; standing on a tapered foot rim, curving into slightly cushion moulded and straight spreading sides; waved lip with six large and six small lobes; painted in the centre with two polychrome birds in a landscape, one perched in a tree, the other on the ground; navy border reserved with four shaped cartouches, two enclosing a bird in a landscape and two enclosing flower sprays, edged with gilt c-scrolls, between gilt flower swags; gilt dentil lip.
