Full title: Near end of death plunge. The battered body of John Ward here is shown just after it bounced off a hotel marquee and just before it landed in the street here tonight. Ward Leaped from a 17th floor ledge of the Hotel Gotham after police and others had spent 10 futile hours in attempting to induce him to reenter the building through the window.
