Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
This is these are the poorly preserved remains of a Younger Child (4-8 years)
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented South-North on the outer edge of the north side of the burial mound.
North-South burials are very rare in the Early Medieval with only 8 of the whole Five Mile Lane Assemblage in that orientation. Of those 8, 6 are young children.
Their teeth show evidence of Dental Enamel Hypoplasia.
The burial is from Phase E: 606-873 AD
The burial is associated, by proximity, with SK142
Site Name: Five Mile Lane, Vale of Glamorgan
