Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A fragment of an iron object found amongst the baked clay of the Site V Medieval Kiln. The object is a flat sheet that still has fragments of itself embedded in lumps of baked clay. It could be the tip of a knife.
It would seem to be part of a tool that snapped off and fell into the wet clay before firing.
Site Name: Rhuddlan, Denbighshire
Notes: NGR refers to Rhuddlan Castle. Collector worked freelance on behalf of the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust.
