The well transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the 'Cows Crossing a Stream' pattern - a rustic scene with three cows in a stream, a farm hand behind, wooden bridge and a large tree to the left, watermill and trees etc behind. Dense floral border mostly of roses. Vignette of 'Cows Crossing a Stream' on either outer side, handles and anthemion printed with fruiting vines reserved on a deep blue ground.
