Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Wdding dress worn by donor's grandmother at her wedding in the Old Parish Church, Vaenor, Brecknockshire in 1872. Made either in Brecon or Merthyr. Consisting of grey silk bodice, skirt and over-skirt. Heavy taffeta grey silk with ripple of paler gray. Puffed bustle of skirt is supported by under straps of cotton sewn vertically. The bodice has elaborate basque trimming and the over-skirt has long streamers of an elaborate bow.
