Letter in Welsh from D. Francis Roberts asking for details about the practice of giving bread and beer to a mother after childbirth. He says this is an old custom in Caernarfonshire and in the Bala area.
D. Francis Roberts was one of the editors of magazine Y Traethodydd from 1929-1945, secretary and president of the theological department of the Graduate Guild, and did much work regarding the new translations of the Bible published under the auspices of the University.
