Black and white photograph of Mr Trevor Mumford (aged 15) outside his house in Plantation Terrace, Rhymney in 1947 when he started work at McLaren Colliery, Abertyswg. He joined Rhymney Workmen's Brass Band as a bass player in 1949. He finished with the coal industry at Penallta Colliery in 1990, but continues his work with brass bands (2011).
