Jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded foot-rim, pear-shaped body, triangular beak spout, scrolled loop handle; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body a lozenge shaped panel painted with Chinese figures in garden settings, the panels surrounded by elaborate scrolled borders in gilt and red enamel, to the front and rear of the exterior body, the underside of the spout and the handle sprays of oriental flowers in red, yellow, purple and green, an elaborate gilt border around the exterior neck of the jug and the top of the spout, heavy gilt bands around the foot-rim and exterior lip-rim.
