ss. PORT CAROLINE (3) (8263gt) : Built 1919 by Workman, Clark & Co., Belfast for the Port Line. She had a poor start to her career by colliding with the CITY OF VALENCIA on her maiden voyage. She had to return to her builder for an engine refit after only six months. 1949 - Used as a cold meat store at London for the Ministry of Food from the October. She sailed to Blyth in early 1950 where she was broken up by Hughes, Bolckow
