Baby grow

Baby grow printed with the slogan 'FUTURE WELSH INTERNATIONAL'. Purchased in February 2010 from Tesco, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff. The baby grow was displayed with other related products (children's rugby shirts, Welsh costumes etc) as part of the store's St David's Day promotion.

Made from red cotton jersey.Neck, cuffs and upper foot trimmed with white cotton jersey. Fastened with seven metal poppers around inner leg opening. Ring visible on front of garment is yellow metal (brass?) coated with red paint, whereas on inside, poppers are made from white metal (steel?). Tansfer-printed with Prince of Wales feathers (in white, yellow, green and black) and inscription (in white) on chest: FUTURE WELSH INTERNATIONAL. Further printed inscription and plumes at inner centre back neck area (printed onto semi-circular section of red cotton jersey which is stitched to inner centre back neck). All machine sewn using red cotton thread (overlocking stitches) or white cotton thread (at neck and cuffs). Two swing tags attached to proper left armpit.
