Miniature hat

Evans, John (hatter) (Born in Carmarthen (circa 1839). Moved to Bristol to apprentice as a silk hatter. Subsequently moved to Swansea and opened a hatter's shop on High Street. The business was later expanded to include men's clothing. Died in 1920.)

Miniature red brown twill 'fishing' hat constructed from four sections and circular brim. Exhibited at the Carmarthen Industrial Exhibition of 1867.
