Raincoat

Yellow raincoat worn by Eve Myles in her role as Faith in the BBC drama series, Keeping Faith.

Produced by Vox Pictures for BBC Wales, the series centred around lawyer, Faith Howells, and her investigation into the disappearance of her husband. Many scenes were filmed in and around the south Wales coast and the village of Laugharne.

Yellow long-sleeved, hooded raincoat. Hood has a small peak and is lined with white and blue striped cotton jersey fabric. The same lining extends down to the waist. Sleeves and lower part of coat are lined with yellow synthetic fabric. The coat has a yellow plastic zip fastening down the centre front with metal slider/pull and additional fastening of 6 metal popper buttons underneath a placket. A length of yellow cotton webbing tape is attached to the zipper pull, held on with a metal rivet. The cuffs of the sleeves are fitted with elastic which gives them a tight fit around the wrist. There is an elastic black drawstring with sprung metal clamp stoppers on either side of the waist. The drawstring runs through a channel in the coat and protrudes through metal eyelets. The drawstring is anchored at both sides on the inside of the centre front. The same drawstring, metal stoppers and eyelets are used for fastening the hood. There are patch hip pockets in self fabric. The company mascot of a hare is printed in blue/grey on the lower outer corner of the proper left pocket. The pockets have flaps which are fastened with metal popper buttons on either side. The company name 'joules' is printed in blue/grey on the lower outer side of the right sleeve. There are a four inscribed labels at upper inner centre back. The hem is curved in that it is longer at CF and CB and shorter at the sides. Care label on inner left side seam has been cut away.
