Cabinet cup and saucer, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; cup standing on three paw feet, cylindrical shape, flaring at lip; high scroll handle closed above the lip, centred by a patera, terminating with a mask; saucer standing on a straight sided foot rim indented above with flared spreading sides; cup painted on the front in polychrome enamels with an overflowing basket of flowers, with two butterflies and on either side a smaller flower spray and one butterfly; gilt paw feet and handle, gilt dentil edge to foot rim and lip, and a decorative gilt dotted and c-scroll border inside lip; saucer painted with a group of three pink roses in the centre and a butterfly, with four small sprays around the edge; decorative gilt border inside a gilt dentil lip, and gilt band to the foot rim.
