Letter, dated 30 May 1942, inviting Mrs J. Jeremy to Buckingham Palace to receive the Decoration of the Distinguished Flying Cross on behalf of her late son, Flight Lieutenant Ithel David Jeremy (service number 77965).
He served with the 305 (Polish) Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, during the Second World War. Killed in action on 15 September 1941, aged 30. Son of Thomas and Jessie Jeremy, Pontypridd.
