Dish, meat
A. J. Wilkinson Ltd Royal Staffordshire Potteries (Royal Staffordshire Potteries)
Meat dish, oval, cream-coloured earthenware with creamware glaze, inset base and cushion-moulded profile, plain rim; decorated with the 'Flying Dragons' pattern, comprising a ring of underglaze stippled grey around the interior of the well and six stylised dragons in a Primativist style around the well, these seem to have been rendered in two stages: a stencilled dragon in stippled dusky-pink enamel, over which are black details applied by hand.
