Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Thin butted axehead; pointed oval in section, slightly flattened along the sides. The surface is polished almost throughout.
Site Name: St Cyres, Penarth
Notes: Found lying close to 56.440/2 on a heap of earth recently moved by a mechanical excavator during construction of the School for Spastic Children. Assumed to have been lying close together before being disturbed and can thus be regarded as being a hoard.
