Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Tyg, buff coloured earthenware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, cylindrical sides flaring slightly to the mouth, a number of pronounced concentric throwing rings to the body giving a slightly ribbed effect, originally six handles evenly spaced around the body, one handle is broken off so that only five remain, the handles alternate between double and single loops with domed finials to the top of each handle; covered all over with a slightly mottled dark brown lead-manganese glaze, the mottling particularly apparent to the interior of the tyg where it gives an almost tortoishell effect.
