Jenkins, William J.

Tailor's drawing book. Compiled by William Jenkins, a master tailor who worked from his home on Mardy Street, Grangetown, Cardiff (possibly no 37). He was a master tailor, born in Newport and trained in Swansea. The drawing book dates from his time as an apprentice in Swansea. Handwritten name and address on inside cover: W. J. JENKINS, 2 WORDSWORTH TERRACE, SWANSEA.

Hardback foolscap copy book with plain pages and green covers. Contains pencil drawn pattern draughts and detailed notes concerning making up lounge suits, service jackets, dress coats, frock coats, motor overcoats etc. Boots Art Department label on inside cover, together with the name and address of the owner.
