Product of the pottery 'Shirley Freeman & Co' based in various Stafford locations from 1860-63 at which point they opened a pottery in Bangor. Benjamin Shirley died in 1864 and pottery continued under the name Freeman & Co and then Hammersley & Freeman.
Earthenware moulded cup with applied moulded handle. Transfer decorations in black to two sides - one has a castle backdrop with deer in foreground and other is a landscape with a Georgian style house in the distance and titled 'Glanwnna'. Pink lustre line decoration part way down inner surface and around the rim.
