Cup and saucer
Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading slightly waisted foot-rim, the lower body concave, the upper body with flaring sides, ogee handle; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the body two different rural scenes showing several figures with boats by the side of a river against a background of tree and buildings, a black band around the interior sides of the body and a black band to the interior lip-rim, a black anthemion and further black markings to the handle. Saucer, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and curving spreading sides; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a rural scene showing two figures, one with a fishing rod, by the side of a river against a background of trees and buildings, a black band around the interior sides of the saucer, a black band to the rim.
