Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Scarab, of Ra Nefer, probably of glazed steatite, a dull ivory in colour the remains of the glaze visible in the incised hollows; a flat base incised with hieroglyphs and an undulating line pattern, within an incised oval band, the upper side domed and rounded in the form of a beetle carapace, with incised feathered banding on the lower sides and rectangular beading at the lower front and back, with feathered, crossed lines across the rear end of the domed upper body; a cylindrical hollow pierced through the length of the body resulting in rounded, smoothed holes at either extremity.
