Flannel apron with horizontal stripes, late 19th century.Possibly made up from another garment. Broad grey stripes in twill weave with decorative double weave stripes of varying widths in black, white and purple on one side and black, white and yellow on the other. Edges unfinished, hem shortened. Black cotton waistband machine stitched to flannel. Worn later as part of Welsh costume by Beryl Jones of Dolgellau (b. 1923).
