5 samian bowl sherds - form Dr37 S36 is a rim sherd, orange/red fabric with a malt red slip. It has a rather heavy, squarish ovalo, possibly CINNAMUS. S37 is a sherd from a fairly small thin bowl of orange/pinkish ware with a matt slip. The figure type is Hercules and Nemean lion (D624) S38 is a small Central Gaulish sherd of orange/pink fabric with a quite good gloss. There is a part of a nude human figure and it is Hadrian/Antonine in appearance. S 39 is a pale pinkish clay with quite a lot of mica and the remains of a good brownish gloss. The remaining design is part of a basal zone formed of a series of two small concentric Os containing a six-pointed, square tipped star. Probably Eastern Gaulish. S40 is a thin, pale creamy-orange ware, with a bright, orange soapy glaze. Feline striding left (type not in Oswald). The animal is walking over grass tufts. This is presumably Eastern Gaulish.
