Wooden doll with carved and painted facial features, glass eyes and dark brown wig. Wearing white fine linen/cotton skirt and wrap-around bodice. Lace trimmed sleeves. Ribbon bow tied at neck. Paper label attached to the dress " Mrs Jones mother's doll dressed about the year 1780 never since undressed for Mrs Rossiter Brighton Villa, Stackpool Road". Description in Register - wooden [doll] with papier overlay & blown glass eyes, 1780. Bought in Antwerp.
