Solid backs with scroll carved and shaped top rail above and repeated carved scale panels to side and half round carved motifs below; solid seats in 2 sections and turned supports united by moulded stretchers (1 on each probably renewed). Backs carved in relief with small rectangular panel bearing date 1694 and initials W.R. (William Rowlands).
