Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Fragment of a strap handle probably from a pitcher of Form E4? Two prominant longitudinal grooves and overfolded margins, handle may have been attached directly to upper edge of ri, luted to the underside. The fabric, which is backed with much quartz and very little grog, is fired to the hardness of stoneware; the core is pinkish-buff but tthe outer surfaces are fired to a creamy colour. The external surface of the handle has traces of a thin buff wash.

D: Large, often slabby stones, with smaller stones interspersed; dark humus-soil; relatively few bones or finds. Excavation conducted in the promontory fort and the adjoining hill-slope enclosure.
