Woollen ground embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Wide border of strawberries on branched leafy stems on three sides. Upper half: religious verses separated by straight line of stitching, with floral wavy stem below. Lower half: maker's name and date of sampler,a band of detached motifs of flowering plants and birds with band of decorative stitching below, maker's date of birth and a further band of geometric ornament with tree and bird motifs and floral wavy stem below.
