Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Jug, earthenware, standing on a spreading rounded foot-rim, globular body tapering inwards at the shoulder, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, bracket-shaped handle with raised thumb-spur; transfer-printed in black with to both sides of the body a scene showing a ship in sail upon a green sea, to the body on either side of the spout a bird perched on a scrolled motif, border to the interior and exterior neck and spout of an entwined ribbon on a fence-like ground issuing spreading sprays of flowers and foliage, sprays of flowers and foliage to the handle.
