Post-Medieval ceramic floor tile
Lewis Group 24 No.399C Slip-on impression. BM Design 2699 (Canynges pavement); Canynges design XXVI (Eames 1951). A 4 tile-design: circular band with reserved annulets intersperced with crescents, surrounding a leaf-scroll pattern; at the centre a circular band with reserved pellets surrounding a sun burst; in each corner a three-leaf motif. The leaf-scroll has good details and rolls clockwise.
