S.S. OLOFSBORG. Laid down in 1945 as EMPIRE LAGOS for MoWT, but launched 1946 as SOLWAY FIRTH for the Royal Navy by Short Bros. Ltd., Pallion, Sunderland. She was, however, completed (in 1947) at Amsterdam Dry Dock as KONGSBORG (see P02.3259) for Skips A/S Kongsborg, Stavanger, Norway. 1955 – Sold to Rederibolaget Borgtramp, Nystad, Finland, and renamed OLOFSBORG. 1959 – Sold to Polish Steamship Co., Szczecin, Poland, and renamed HUTA FLORIAN. She was broken up at Bilbao, Spain, in 1971.
