Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Dress-hook with a trefoil back-plate cut from a sheet, to which, on the reverse, a seperate looped bar has been soldered, now detatched. Attached to the front of the plate by solder are three hollow hemispherical silver bosses, each decorated with three 'rope-twist' filigree wire circlets, with small granulated pellets in the interspaces. There is a circular hole through the centre of the back-plate in the space between the three bosses, for a rivet, now missing, which would once have held a central rosette or flower.
Site Name: Llandow, Vale of Glamorgan
Notes: found on ploughed land at a depth of about 15cm
