Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks in cross, satin, stem and other stitches, Divided horizontally into four compartments. The first two compartments contain floral and butterfly designs; the third contains a landscape - two houses, a lake with swans, shepherd and shepherdess beneath a tree; the fourth compartment contains floral and rabbit designs. In the middle, within lozenge-shaped floral compartments, is the inscription: “Lucilla Thurlow Aged 9 Years 1826".
