Slop-bowl, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a tall foot rim, flared body, everted lip, decorated on either side with two groups of chinoiserie figures, one of two figures, one seated and one standing, bent tree over them, painting to the right, the other of two chinoiserie figures sitting around a table opposite each other having tea, each scene in a gilt and purple lustre cartouche surrounded by iron-red and brown scrolling, in between are sprays of flowers and insests, gilt band to rim into which the cartouches protrude, inner surface with a landscape surrounded by a circular, gilt border and scrolling, ornamental, gilt border to lip.
