Roman copper alloy escutcheon
Damaged pendant or escutcheon with a border of small triangular piercings. The suspension loop is eroded and at some time has been replaced or augmented by a copper-allov rivet through one of the upper holes, perhaps suggesting that the piece had been attached to a vessel.
