Rosette

Circular rosette used on the champagne bottle that launched the S.S. MELROSE ABBEY on 20 May 1936. Rosette is made up of red, white and blue ribbon. A strip each of red, white & blue ribbon hangs down with inscription on the white one.

S.S. MELROSE ABBEY (6) (2473 tons). Built 1936. She was torpedoed in December 1942.
