Doll with head and torso made from a piece of chalk, circa 1900. Limbless. Carved facial features. One dome -headed metal (?) nail eye missing. Straw/plant fibre hair. Wearing cotton brown cotton print shawl, blue check cotton dress, and flint arrowhead pendant. Supposedly from Suffolk. Originally owned by folklorist and collector, Edward Lovett.
