Body sherd of a decorated bowl. Form 37, Central Gaulish. Freestyle decoration, with a seated Bacchus, a tree formed from repeated impressions of a vine scroll and a leaf. The ovolo is too blurred for identificationm. The Bacchus and Mercury are on bowls in the style of Arcanus, from Zwammerdam and Gloucester, respectively, but there is nothing else to connect the bowl with him. The bead row below the decoration suggests Hadrianic date.
