Soup plate, porcelain, turned inset base, curved sides, flat rim; decorated in the centre with the arms of Stradling in enamels and gold, paly of six argent and azure, on a bend gules three cinquefoils or, with the badge of a baronet, the crest on the rim a stag courant, round the neck a scarf, crest and arms with the motto DUW A DIGON, round the edge of the well a spearhead border in gold, round the side of the well a band of foliage with lotus flowers and river scenes in reserves, around the rim alternating flower motifs in gold.
