Conferences

A group in formal attire gathers on a covered terrace with black sofas and brick walls, chatting and socialising.

Conveniently located at Swansea’s historic dockside and a short walk from the city centre, the National Waterfront Museum offers a unique conference venue, steeped in industrial and maritime heritage.

As Wales's biggest provider of learning outside the classroom, we have a variety of spaces set up for workshopping, presentations and team-building. For breakout sessions or smaller conferences our Ocean Room, located just off our Colonnade, is full of natural light and boasts Victorian industrial features such as the sliding doors. The space comes equipped with projectors, screens and a PA system, and can accommodate up to 150 delegates in various set-ups.

We also have two further meeting rooms, Dockside and Cityside, available as further breakout spaces. Both are equipped with projectors and screens, and can host up to 40 delegates.

All spaces are fully accessible, with lifts to all levels and access toilets located throughout the museum.

Further technical equipment and support are available, from staging, lecterns and microphones to technical staffing and hybrid conferencing.

Displays and exhibitors can be hosted in a variety of ways depending on your needs. We will work with you to find the perfect solution for all your exhibitors’ and delegates’ needs.

Catering and DDR packages are available and can be served in a variety of spaces across the museum to best serve your delegates.

The museum is also close to many major hotels and car parks, and is only a short walk from Swansea Train Station. Ideal for conferences bringing delegates together from across the nation.

Conferences we have proudly welcomed include Dŵr Cymru, Welsh Crucible and Swansea University.
