Receptions at St Fagans

  • Rows of wine glasses filled with white wine arranged on a black tablecloth, forming a neat and visually striking pattern.

Welcome your guests to Wales’s National Museum of History for a truly unforgettable reception.

Step back in time to 1915 and wow your guests with an evening in The Vulcan Hotel and Pub. Hire this historic Cardiff institution and enjoy a reception with a range of craft ales.

Our large sleek Atrium is the museum’s main entrance space by day, but by night is transformed and can host up to 500 guests for a standing reception. With space for podiums, stages and performances, the Atrium is a tremendously versatile venue.

Or why not treat your guests to a private evening in our galleries telling the story of Wales and sip on a glass of fizz amidst the Welsh national collection.

Talk to our team about making your reception truly yours, whether with brand colour lighting, poser tables, technical support for speeches or bringing in space dressing and to find out more about catering options.

We’ve proudly hosted receptions for clients such as the Football Association of Wales and the Consulate General of Ireland.

Exclusive venue Hire starting prices range from £599 + VAT to £3,400 + VAT depending on space. Catering packages sold separately. Get in touch with our dedicated events team to receive a quote for your reception needs.
