Join us at National Museum Cardiff to explore Wales’ world-leading natural history and art collections. Through our collections, learners will explore millions of years of Welsh history. From discovering the dinosaurs that roamed prehistoric Wales to exploring our world-class art collection, learners will be empowered to investigate, create and learn through our hands-on, interactive workshops led by our excellent Learning Team.

Cynefin | Explore the Welsh idea of cynefin through the art galleries at National Museum Cardiff.
Sounds of the Dinosaurs | Step back in time and bring the prehistoric world to life in this interactive, sound-filled adventure!
My First Art Gallery | Delve into a selection of diverse artworks across the galleries! Learners will explore different types of art and have a go at creating your own.
LEGO® Build the Change: Protect the Ocean | Investigate the impact of climate change on our oceans and build a solution using LEGO.
Exploring Identity through Portraits | Discover some of the historical and modern portraits in National Museum Cardiff and explore how our identity is shown through art.
Museum Detectives | Using our handling collections, learners will explore natural history specimens including fossils, gemstones, creepy-crawlies and more!
Mindfulness | Spend some time in our art galleries by slowing down, exploring your senses and engaging with the collection in thoughtful and reflective ways.
Abstract & Realism | Explore the difference between abstract and realistic art in this interactive workshop.
Explore the Moon | Explore the moon in this interactive workshop where pupils will have the opportunity to handle real moon rocks.
Wales, Empire and Colonialism | Through objects, stories and creative responses, examine the complex legacies of empire and how they continue to impact Wales and the wider world today
Wonderful World of Dinosaurs | Explore the dinosaurs that roamed Wales millions of years ago and how they were discovered.
You are the Curator | Take on the role of an art curator to explore how one work of art can respond to another and create new meanings.
Art & Activism | Explore how art and artists use creativity to challenge issues that impact society.
