Introduction: parsettensite is a manganese mineral found in mineral deposits where it is associated with minerals such as piemontite, rhodonite, manganoan calcite, rhodochrosite, and ganophyllite.
Occurrence in Wales: parsettensite is only known from one locality in the British Isles, from Cwm Nantcol, in the Harlech Dome area of Gwynedd.
