A night at the museum with a wild twist!

Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales will be hosting its first in-person event on Thursday evening 26 May after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lates: ANIMAL is a wild night out for adults only at National Museum Cardiff and attendees will have an exclusive first look at the world-famous Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, which will open the following day on Friday 27 May 2022.

The event will take over the museum to launch the exhibition and celebrate the natural world, featuring a pub quiz with pop-up troupe Bingo Lingo, who have toured the UK with their unique twist on a bingo night!

The museum will also be mixing up bespoke cocktails to complement the animal-themed event.

The event will also feature curator talks from some of the museum’s specialists and craft-making areas focused on improving the biodiversity on your doorstep.

Ruth Oliver, Events Manager for Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales said, “We’re so excited to throw open the Museum doors again for live events as we relaunch our 'Lates' programme. It will be a chance for adults of all ages to let their hair down and enjoy all the fun things we have on offer. Come and check out the exhibition, meet our curators and celebrate the beauty and fragility of our natural world.”
