Come and join us to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with an explosion of Chinese cultural crafts and colourful activities throughout the day.

What Can I Do?

  • Watch musical and dance performances including Lion dance, Dragon dance, the Beijing Opera and more.
  • Have a go at traditional arts and crafts such as calligraphy, brush painting and paper cutting.
  • Shop at stalls selling Chinese crafts and accessories.
  • Take a selfie in traditional Chinese clothing.
  • Have a go at the gentle Chinese Qigong of Baduan Jin.
  • Watch Chinese cartoons and presentations about Chinese culture.
  • Enjoy Chinese tea for free.

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

You can plan your journey using the Traveline Cymru website or by calling their helpline on 0800 464 0000.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
