Talk:You, Me and AI: What your internet searches tell about how you feel

National Waterfront Museum
Finished

The COVID-19 pandemic was an unanticipated opportunity to understand how a sudden global shock changes people’s online searches when seeking information about how they feel. In this talk, you will find out how and why we combine Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and Psychology to investigate how people understand and react to complex and dynamic situations. We will show you how we use open-source information to reveal how technology and crisis have changed how we express our emotions on social media and in web searches.
