The story of the amazing and formidable Miss Amy Dillwyn, born a tomboy in Swansea, South Wales in 1845. She grew up to become a woman loving woman and a successful novelist, suffragist and cigar smoking industrialist. Join us for this lively and interactive session, followed by time for a Q&A.
Queer Tales from Wales, are a micro theatre company based near Machynlleth in mid Wales. QTW is led by Jane Hoy, who researches stories about real and mythical figures from Welsh history, many of whom are women whose deepest relationships were with other women. Jane turns these stories into lively scripts, which she performs with her partner Helen Sandler – often with opportunities for audiences to participate.
