Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival Goes Green

Sustainability is important to us and we’re always looking for ways make our festival more green. 

How about catching the bus to the festival instead of driving? Cardiff Bus will be running a service throughout the weekend. Check out the timetable here. Their special ticket price means that a family can travel to the festival for only £5.50. 

Please consider bringing your reusable water bottle and coffee cup to the festival. 

We’ve partnered with Refill Wales and there will be water points across the site for you to top up your water. Download the Refill Wales app to find available water points. 

Bring your reusable coffee cup along and you can get a 10% discount on drinks from all hot drink vendors including the museum cafes during the event.

We have teamed up with Food Cardiff who will run a ‘Good Food’ activity area to celebrate and raise awareness of Cardiff’s Gold Sustainable Food Places bid. In the Good Food Cardiff zone there’ll be activities for all the family to get involved in growing and cooking good food, no matter what your budget.

For the first time, we’ve partnered with Fareshare Cymru who will collect and redistribute surplus food from the event’s stallholders, making sure nothing goes to waste.  

The Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival takes place on 10 & 11 September at St Fagans National Museum of History. Entry is free. Car parking £6.
