We want the Food Festival to be a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone. This year, we’re pleased to announce that there will be a BSL programme at the Amgueddfa Cymru Food Festival. 

Roaming interpreters are available at the event to guide D/deaf visitors around the festival, attend workshops with them, and to help with ordering food & drink. This service will be provided by fully qualified interpreters and some training interpreters / Communication Support Workers. 

Some activities & performances will be delivered by deaf facilitators & performers including:  

- Rag Rug Workshop (Saturday) 

- BSL Taster Sessions 

- Taking Flight Theatre Roaming Performances 

There’ll also be a space where the D/deaf community can meet up to socialise and find out what’s happening around the festival. 

Keen to learn BSL? Join the fun with our family-friendly BSL taster sessions. 

Whether you have little or no previous knowledge of BSL, these interactive and informal sessions are designed to welcome all ages and skill levels. You don’t need to book in advance, just turn up at the allocated start time and join in!
