I visited the museum on Wednesday and saw that the Curator's choice was a marvellous painting of Sir Charles Kemeys of Cefn Mably. As a Kemeys myself I am interested in the painting and any history of the Kemeys family - does the museum have any information regarding the family?

First of all it is on display as part of the curator's choice.

Fascinating picture and I would like to know the name and significance of the flowering plant at the bottom right hand corner.
